Romeo & Juliet an ASL story is getting fantastic reviews!

The Examiner– “It is here the audience is introduced to the Nurse, played by Tara Bopp. One will have no trouble realizing who the Nurse is by her lack of a costume mask and her actions to protect her ward and Romeo from Tybalt. Bopp uses her apparent dexterous physical ability to humor the audience. Despite the lack of words, the expressive form of ASL informs the audience of the love, rivalry, and conflict to come.”

We have 3 more shows, so please come out; this is one of the greatest plays with such wonderful people I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with.

On a roll!

Indi.com has informed me that I am the judges pick again for the VO challenge from casting director Andy Roth. I will have a one on one meeting with him within the next month.

Here is some insight on his work:

Andy is one of New York’s absolute best and busiest freelance commercial casting directors!

He was the in house booth director for CESD for many years before becoming freelance. Since then he has been working for many of the biggest advertising agencies, casting houses, and production companies in the world.

In his career, heras served as casting director on thousands of projects ranging from commercials, animated films and TV series, to documentaries and video games.

This is what Andy had to say: I love the simplicity that she brought to her reads, even the character take.  It feels like she just let her personality do the work.  I really feel like I got a sense of who she is and what she’d bring to any other audition.  Great job!

New York  is a city I will always love and miss. I have been pondering going back for a visit for quite some time, and if this encouragement from New York keeps progressing, I may need to think about living  a bi-coastal lifestyle.

What do you think about living 6 months in one place and 6 months in another? Anyone already doing this have any advice?

VO feedback from Indi.com

another great note on my VO work from Indi!

“I LIKE her! She brought a real genuine sweetness to both of her reads. I feel I got a sense of her personality and what she’D bring to other auditions. Really nice read!”. Andy Roth

Indi.com Judges pick!

As I mentioned in the last blog, I joined the site, Indi.com. This is where entertainers are invited to submit to challenges in their specific field and are voted on by experienced members of their field. For actors, we are given specific sides and a casting director picks their favorite. This last challenge I won Judges pick. Here is what the casting directors feedback was on my performance.

“Actually made me laugh out loud. Funny and natural. Some choices that no one else made, such as panicked..but trying to hide it. Naturally quirky ( not trying to be quirky or pushing it). Really liked her a lot”.
